Who we are
We are a nonprofit dedicated to bringing relief and dignity to families in our local community through donations, outreach, and love. Alivio means “relief,” and that’s exactly what we want to offer. Whether it’s a backpack for a student, clothing for a mother, or furniture for a family rebuilding their life.
Alivio began with a simple, heartfelt realization: so many families in our local communities are living without basic necessities—and yet so many of us have extra to give. What started as a small effort among friends quickly grew into something more. We saw a gap, and rather than wait for someone else to fill it, we decided to step up. We couldn’t stay still knowing we could help and now, we’re creating an impact together.
At Alivio, we believe access to basic resources should never be a privilege. Every day, perfectly usable items like furniture, school supplies, and household essentials are discarded, while countless families go without.
Our mission is to rescue these valuable goods and get them into the hands of those who need them most. By doing so, we not only reduce waste but help individuals and families build more stable, dignified lives.
We’re driven by a simple belief: giving people the tools to thrive isn’t just resourceful it’s the right thing to do.

Our dream is to create a consistent, trusted bridge between those who can give and those who need support. In the long run, we hope to expand our network of donation hubs, grow our volunteer teams, and deliver even more essentials to rural and underserved communities throughout Latin America. We envision Alivio becoming a household name for compassion in action.

We organize fundraisers, community drives, and donation events to collect backpacks, clothing, hygiene items, furniture and other essentials. Through financial contributions, we cover shipping, packaging, and transportation to local communities and our contacts in Latin America. From there, local leaders and partners distribute the items to families in need efficiently, directly, and with care.

We help families, children, single parents, and individuals struggling with poverty in both our local communities and Latin American regions, especially in areas where aid rarely reaches. Whether it’s a student who needs school supplies or a grandmother who just needs a warm coat, we make sure they are not forgotten.
